Ginger, a southcentral Wisconsin native, is the CEO and owner of The Alternative Board—Badgerland. As an engaged, successful small business owner and entrepreneur, she is acutely aware that small business owners often need to wear many hats - and the various challenges that entails. During her 17 years of development experience in the retail and service industries she directed site selection, negotiations, construction, staff recruitment, training, marketing, and start-up support for new locations, as well as provided ongoing business consulting services and training to maximize profit under a franchise business model.
While in the corporate world, Ginger spent 12 years leading teams in the engineering, technical consulting, and electric utility fields. As a productivity-focused and effectual leader with a proven ability to excel in many areas of business, Ginger possesses a breadth of knowledge that has proven helpful to her peers. Her vision dictates that one “keep their eye on the ball,” which makes the right decisions become much clearer.
Also, a no “band-aids” philosophy maximizes the use of Ginger’s talent for identifying inefficiencies and implementing monitored process changes that truly make a difference.
Finally, Ginger recognizes that each individual has their own life priorities; that could simply mean being available to coach their child’s soccer, T-ball, or basketball team…which is also one of Ginger’s priorities! That is truly what drew Ginger to The Alternative Board. Small business owners need support to reach both their professional and personal goals, because they are often intertwined. It is not always or only about business growth. That is the TAB platform.
