This post is for the person who really knows they need to start a Facebook profile, yet feels like they're the last person on the planet to finally "hop on."
Don't feel embarrassed. Everyone has to start somewhere.
This post (and indeed the series of posts to soon follow) is titled Square One because that's where we'll start together. Today you can step into that first box of social media engagement, and it's fitting to begin with the most popular and prevalent channel being used today.
First of all, let's reaffirm that you're not the last person on the planet to create a Facebook profile. C|net, the site that knows everything from the best smartphones for your business staff to the best tablet for your grandson, says so: At the start of 2013, there were 1.06 billion monthly active users on Facebook.
Google, another paragon of being in-the-know, wants to reassure you that it's impossible to be the last one on the Facebook bandwagon, since at last count in 2011 there were 6.97 billion people on the planet.

Easy, that's how. If you have an email address, you can do this. (If you don't, again we refer you to Google.)
